Admin Guide

Sweepup is a one-time purchase per tournament. There is no monthly subscription, no per-seat charge, and no auto-renewal. You pay once, your league runs for all 104 World Cup 2026 matches, and that’s the end of the bill.

Three plans are available, sized by employee count rather than features:

• Starter — £49 one-time. Up to 49 employees. Pure prediction league. Best for small teams or pilots.
• Standard — £99 one-time. Up to 250 employees. Everything in Starter plus the Extras pack (Daily Rival, Survivor, Double Down, Big Calls) and MS Teams + Slack notifications.
• Pro— £199 one-time. Unlimited employees. Everything in Standard plus optional company branding (your logo on the dashboard, leaderboard, and emails) and the “Powered by Sweepup” footer removed.

Refunds:if the league hasn’t started yet, email support and we’ll refund the full amount, no questions. Once the tournament kicks off (11 June 2026) we can’t refund because the service is being delivered. See the refund policy for the specifics.

The 2026 World Cup runs from 11 June 2026 (group stage kick-off) through to 19 July 2026 (final). 104 matches across 5 weeks.

• Before kick-off: set up your league, invite employees, configure your prize pot and notification webhooks.
• Group stage (11–27 June): 72 matches across 12 days. Daily Rival pairings rotate each matchday.
• Knockouts (29 June–19 July): 32 matches across the Round of 32 down to the final. Stage multipliers kick in (Final = ×3 by default).
• After the final: leaderboard locks. Big Calls are resolved. You announce the winner with your prize pot.

Once your payment completes, you land on a setup success page that displays your unique league code. You can always find this later under Admin → Settings and on the Employees page.

Share the code with employees by email, Slack, Teams, or however your company prefers. We include ready-to-copy announcement templates on the setup success page.

Employees join at /join by entering the code and picking a display name + password. There is no app to download. Email is optional — we only use it to send the daily digest.

After joining, every employee gets a personal Dashboardwith their rank, prediction completion, today’s open picks, and an Extras strip (in Extras leagues) summarising their rival pairing, survivor pick, double-down chips, and Big Calls reminders.

They submit predictions on the Predictionspage. Each match accepts an exact score. Predictions lock at kick-off — once a match starts, the prediction is final and cannot be edited.

The Leaderboard shows live standings, ordered by total points, then exact-score count as a tie-breaker. If you set a prize pot description, it appears at the top of the leaderboard.

Default rules:

• Exact score — 3 points. e.g. you predict 2–1 and the result is 2–1.
• Correct goal difference — 2 points. e.g. you predict 2–1, result is 3–2.
• Correct result (W / D / L) — 1 point. Right winner, wrong score.
• Stage multipliers — Group = ×1, Round of 32 = ×1.25, Round of 16 = ×1.5, Quarters = ×1.5, Semis = ×2, Final = ×3.
• Knockout note — predictions are for 90 minutes only. Extra time and penalties don’t count.

Custom scoring is available under Admin → Settings → Scoring rules. You can change point values and multipliers any time before matches are played; changes only affect future scoring.

Sweepup pulls results automatically from a sports data feed for the entire tournament — no manual entry needed in normal operation. You only ever need to touch Admin → Matches if you spot a mistake or want to override a score.

To override: open the match, edit the home / away scores, click Save. All affected predictions are re-scored automatically and the leaderboard updates.

On Standard and Pro plans, the Extras pack layers four mini-games on top of the prediction league. They use the same scoring engine and the same leaderboard, but add daily storylines and let players take strategic risks.

• Daily Rival— each matchday, every active player is randomly paired with another player. Whoever scores more points that day wins the duel and earns +1 bonus point. Odd headcounts get a BYE that day. Pairings are auto-generated at the start of each matchday; you don’t need to do anything.
• Survivor— players pick one team per matchday to win their match. If their team wins, they survive to the next matchday. If their team loses or draws, they’re out. Players can’t pick the same team twice. Last player standing takes the Survivor title.
• Double Down— a limited number of chips per stage (3 in the group stage, 1–2 per knockout round by default). Apply a chip to a prediction to double its points. Save them for the matches you’re most sure about. Budgets are customisable per league.
• Big Calls— tournament-wide forecasts like “Who scores the most goals?” or “Which team reaches the final?” See the Big Calls section below for details.

Navigate to Admin → Bonus to create custom forecast questions. Each question has a points value and a type:

• Exact match— the player either matches the correct answer exactly or scores zero. Use for unambiguous questions (e.g. “Which team wins the World Cup?”).
• Closest pick— numeric questions where the closest answer scores full points and the second closest scores 1. Use for things like “How many goals does the top scorer net?”.

Players answer Big Calls from the Predictions page. Once the tournament is over, return to Admin → Bonus, enter the correct answer for each question, and Sweepup awards the points automatically.

For leagues with 10+ employees, you can add Admin → Departments to break the company into sub-leagues (e.g. Engineering vs Sales). Each department gets its own filtered leaderboard so you can run intra-company rivalries alongside the main one. Players are assigned to a department from the employees page.

Standard and Pro plans support automatic notifications to MS Teams and Slack. Configure under Admin → Settings → Notifications.

• Teams— create an Incoming Webhook in your channel (channel → ... → Connectors → Incoming Webhook). Paste the URL.
• Slack— create an Incoming Webhook in your workspace (Apps → Incoming Webhooks → Add new). Paste the URL.

We send adaptive cards for: matchday kick-off reminders (1 hour before), result digests (after each matchday completes), and tournament milestones (final results, winner announcement). You can connect one or both platforms; both are notified if set.

From Admin → Reports you can export your league leaderboard and employee roster as CSV at any time. You own the data; we just store it.

To delete your league entirely, go to Admin → Settings → Danger zone and use the self-serve delete tool — you’ll be asked to type the company name verbatim to confirm. Deletion is immediate: predictions, employees, leaderboards, departments, and everything else for the league are removed in one go. Players are signed out and can’t log back in.
